VF AUTO SUZUKI SERVICE CENTER
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF SUZUKI VEHICLES
Although Suzuki no longer sells new automobiles in Canada, there are still many Suzuki SX4s, Grand Vitaras, Kizashis, Swifts, XL7s and other models on the road today, and many can continue providing years of service when properly maintained.
At VF Auto, we have the experience, diagnostic equipment and resources required to maintain and repair Suzuki vehicles.
Our technicians understand Suzuki engines, manual, automatic and CVT transmissions, four-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive systems, and the electronic systems used throughout the different Suzuki models that were sold in Canada.
We can also help source the correct parts for your Suzuki, including genuine Suzuki components when available, high-quality aftermarket parts and other repair solutions appropriate for your vehicle and budget.
Your Suzuki doesn't need a dealership to receive specialized service.
Trust VF Auto for professional, transparent and affordable Suzuki maintenance and repair.

VF AUTO: YOUR SUZUKI SPECIALIST
Suzuki sold automobiles in Canada for several decades and offered an unusually diverse range of vehicles, including economical small cars, all-wheel-drive vehicles, SUVs, sedans and even a pickup truck.
Many of these vehicles earned a reputation for simplicity and durability, but their age also means certain problems are becoming increasingly common.
At VF Auto, we can properly diagnose these concerns and help you decide whether a problem should be repaired immediately, maintained or simply monitored.
COMMON SUZUKI PROBLEMS WE DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR
CVT transmission concerns – SX4 and Kizashi
Many Suzuki SX4 and Kizashi models sold in Canada were equipped with continuously variable transmissions.
As mileage increases, some vehicles may develop symptoms such as reduced acceleration, hesitation, unusually high engine RPM, excessive transmission temperature or transmission warning lights.
Suzuki published technical information regarding CVT temperature-protection operation on certain SX4 and Kizashi models, including conditions involving deteriorated CVT fluid or transmission-control problems.
Before condemning an entire transmission, VF Auto can check fault codes, operating data, transmission temperature and fluid condition to determine what is actually causing the problem.
Accessory-belt tensioner concerns – SX4 and Grand Vitara
Certain SX4 and Grand Vitara vehicles have experienced concerns involving the accessory-drive-belt tensioner.
A faulty tensioner can cause belt noise, improper belt tension or eventually allow the belt to come off.
Because the belt operates important engine accessories, unusual belt or tensioner noises should be inspected before the problem becomes more serious.
Timing-chain problems – 2007–2009 XL7 3.6L
Suzuki XL7 models equipped with the 3.6-litre V6 can develop stretched timing chains.
Symptoms can include a check engine light and timing-related trouble codes such as P0008, P0009, P0016, P0017, P0018 or P0019.
These codes should not automatically result in sensors being replaced.
Proper testing of the engine's timing system is important before undertaking a major timing-chain repair.
Engine-oil and differential leaks
On older Suzuki vehicles, leaks can develop from engine seals, timing covers, differentials and other drivetrain components.
On AWD and 4x4 models, differential seals and drivetrain components deserve particular attention after years of exposure to Canadian winters.
Our technicians can identify exactly where a leak is coming from before replacing components.
Wheel bearings, suspension and steering
Many Suzuki vehicles still on the road are now more than ten or fifteen years old.
Wheel bearings, control arms, ball joints, stabilizer links, bushings, struts and other suspension components can therefore begin showing wear.
Humming or grinding noises, clunks, vibration, loose steering or uneven tire wear should be inspected before the condition becomes worse.
Rust and corrosion
The age of today's Suzuki vehicle population makes corrosion inspection particularly important.
Brake lines, suspension components, exhaust systems, fasteners, underbody components and other mechanical parts can be affected by years of exposure to road salt and winter conditions.
At VF Auto, we can help distinguish normal surface corrosion from a condition that actually requires repair.
Check engine lights and performance problems
A check engine light can originate from an ignition problem, sensor, intake leak, fuel system, emissions system or mechanical fault.
A trouble code does not automatically mean the component mentioned in the code needs replacement.
Our technicians use trouble codes as a starting point and perform the appropriate tests to determine the actual cause.
Brake problems
Because many Suzuki vehicles are now older, the condition of brake calipers, lines, pads, rotors and parking-brake components becomes increasingly important.
A brake that remains partially applied can also cause premature wear, excessive heat and increased fuel consumption.
We inspect the complete system before recommending repairs.
Electrical and battery concerns
A weak battery, charging-system problem, poor ground, starter issue, aging wiring or corroded connectors can produce difficult intermittent electrical symptoms.
Our diagnostic equipment allows us to test circuits and components rather than simply replacing parts in an attempt to solve the problem.

Because many Suzuki vehicles in Canada are now older, preventive maintenance is more important than ever.

WHY CHOOSE VF AUTO FOR YOUR SUZUKI?
Experience with Suzuki vehicles
Suzuki may no longer sell new automobiles in Canada, but that doesn't mean you need to replace your vehicle when it requires a repair.
Our team has the experience required to maintain and diagnose the Suzuki vehicles that are still on the road.
Advanced diagnostics
We use professional diagnostic equipment to communicate with the vehicle's control modules, analyze operating data and perform the appropriate tests before recommending repairs.
Parts research and sourcing
Finding certain Suzuki components can require more research than it does for a brand that still sells new automobiles in Canada.
VF Auto can investigate different solutions, including genuine components when available and high-quality aftermarket replacement parts.
Experience with older vehicles
A repair that makes perfect sense on a three-year-old vehicle isn't always the best financial decision on a fifteen- or twenty-year-old vehicle.
We consider the vehicle's age, overall condition and value when helping you decide on the most sensible repair.
Competitive and transparent pricing
We explain recommended repairs and costs before performing the work.
Complete automotive service
General mechanical repair, engines, transmissions, CVTs, AWD and 4x4 systems, electronic diagnostics, suspension, brakes, tires, alignments, air conditioning and much more are available under one roof.
KEEP YOUR SUZUKI ON THE ROAD
Your Suzuki may be getting older, but that doesn't necessarily mean it has reached the end of its useful life.
A properly maintained SX4, Grand Vitara, Kizashi, Swift or other Canadian-market Suzuki can still provide many more years of service.
Whether you're dealing with a check engine light, CVT concern, suspension noise, leak, electrical problem or simply want to stay ahead of maintenance, VF Auto is ready to help.
Our philosophy is simple:
Diagnose it properly.
Repair what is necessary.
Avoid unnecessary expenses.
Help you keep your vehicle on the road.
